In addition to frozen foods with excruciatingly long shelf life, most ready-to-eat and fresh foods are mainly refrigerated, and the short shelf life has also become a shortcoming of these fresh products in a refrigerated environment. Not only is the perishable nature of the food itself not allowed, but also the packaging solution as a countermeasure also faces many challenges in the refrigerated environment.

Although the cost of plastic wrap, which is common in supermarkets, is low, it only has a shelf life of 2 days, which is far from enough for fresh food with relatively high added value. So we will see more and more modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) appear on the shelf as the main force, which can achieve shelf performance of 5-7 days.

And now it is much longer than 7 days, and the modified atmosphere packaging made of aluminum foil material will occupy the shelf life of fresh products by nearly 15 days.

Aluminum foil with good barrier properties is used for food, beverages, medicines, etc. The surface is extremely clean and hygienic, and no bacteria or microorganisms can grow on its surface. As a non-toxic packaging material, it can be in direct contact with food without any danger to human health, and has strong adaptability to temperature. Therefore, combining aluminum foil with modified atmosphere packaging, the mainstream of fresh food packaging, creates aluminum foil modified atmosphere packaging that can last up to 15 days in a refrigerated environment.
